This WordPress.com site is to provide a location to upload a daily image. In particular I would like to be able to showcase the beautiful city of Newcastle Australia but additionally keep a daily photographic blog. I will also post images of past experiences and travels.
These boats were tacking into newy harbour this morning. The swell was pretty substantial, river was running strong and southerly wind blowing strongly. Unfortunately I couldn’t capture any of the numerous body boarders on the wave.
This image was captured at the killing fields in Phnom Penh, Capital of Cambodia. It shows the blessing bracelets left by many people as a mark of respect for the approx 200,000 people killed and buried at this site during the late 1970’s by Khmer Rouge, led By Pol Pot. It is only one of many of these sites throughout Cambodia. A very Solemn place.
The remnants of the Cham religion were used as a base by the Viet Cong and therefore heavily bombed by the Americans during the war.
